Day 33. Disneyland. Tuesday 21st January

Chelsea started to deteriorate overnight and at 1am she started vomiting. We started to work out what our medical options were. Take her to the hospital or get a doctor to the hotel. After some lengthy conversations with the night staff, the hotel nurse and the nearest hospital we decided our best (and cheapest option) was to have a doctor come to the hotel. He arrived around 4.30 and our suspicions were confirmed. Chelsea has tonsillitis again! Thank goodness we have top cover travel insurance. After the Dr's diagnosis he rang through a request for antibiotics to a local pharmacy that delivers. After he left we tried to get another couple of hours sleep before we had to get up again. A tired Christine and the boys got up at 8 am to get to the early opening of Disneyland at 9 am while Andrew stayed to make the necessary arrangements for the drugs. He needed to phone the pharmacy at 9 and confirm the prescription. They said they would deliver them around 1pm. A little bit later than we had anticipated. Andrew stayed with Chelsea for a little while longer and joined the others around 10.30. Meanwhile, in the park, Christine, Jacob and Cameron went back into Tomorrowland and went on the Star Wars 3D space simulator ride, Space Mountain roller coaster and Autopia.. When Andrew joined the group Christine decided to have her face painted. We headed into Fantasyland  and spent some time on the many fairytale themed rides like Snow White's scary adventures, the Peter Pan flight, Alice in Wonderland, the Teacup ride and Sleeping Beauty Castle.  We were all upset that Chelsea couldn't join us as we explored DL.  Andrew then went off to do the rides that the others had done in the morning and went back to check on Chelsea and wait for the antibiotics while the others had some lunch. He rejoined the group about 3pm and we all headed into New Orleans and went for a ride in the Haunted Mansion then into Frontierland to sail on the Mark Twain steam paddle boat that did a 20 minute cruise around the lake. Our next stop was Micky's Toontown, a cartoon town where Mickey, Minnie, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto live. We decided to split and Christine and Cameron spent a bit more time in DL and Andrew and Jake went to California Adventure Park to go on a few rides again. Chelsea spent the day in bed sleeping and watching a bit of TV.
Christine's 1st ever face painting was Mickey shaped balloons
