Day 32. Disneyland. Monday 20th January

With no early opening privileges for us and some peoples requirement for more fatigue management we didn't enter  Disneyland until about 9am. Being the Martin Luther King public holiday the crowds weren't too bad yet. We decided on a left hand search of the park, after walking along the main street, and entered Adventureland. We visited  The Enchanted Tiki room, that was Walt Disney's first attraction to use audio-animatronics in 1963. The room full of singing birds and flowers is still very clever. We then went on a Jungle Cruise with a very funny boat driver, climbed Tarzan's tree house and then after a 20 minute line up went on an Indiana Jones Adventure where we were lucky to escape the rolling boulder  and many scary skeletons. The last ride for the morning was the excellent Pirates of the Caribbean where we sat on a boat and traveled through the swells and high seas. The crowds were starting to swell, so after lunch we had a ride on Winnie the Pooh and decided to return to the hotel to use some of the facilities. Some of us used the gym, some the pool and some just stayed in the room to rest for a couple of hours. Chelsea hadn't been feeling well since she woke up in the morning and by the afternoon was feeling much worse. She decided to stay  in the room for the remainder of the day and rest a bit more. About 5pm the rest of us went back into DL and entered Tomorrowland to go on the Toy Story ride and spend some time in Innoventions.  This is where cutting edge inventions have been on display and updated since the park opened in 1963. We saw some really cool stuff such as houses of the future, an interactive dining room table, Iron Man's suits and various games and gadgets. As the sun went down we watched the Parade again, the Fireworks again and then scurried over to California Adventure Park to get a better position to watch the World of Colour again. And after we were 'again-ing', we returned to the room at about 10pm to find Chelsea still unwell. Sore throat, high temperature and vomiting (just after we got back to the room). We are thinking Tonsillitis again! Oh no, we're flying home in 2 days!

As explained to us, here is a pride of lions looking after a sleeping zebra.

  1. Hooray: Everybody made it!

oH NO Chelsea not again - you'll never fly overseas; ever again.

My birthday t-shirt arrived today - In fire engine red - hooray. It missed me in sydney but it looks great.

I will call on Monday about 4pm to catch up with all your news and hope your home.

Oh my Gosh you must all be exhausted - Perth is going to be very boring now. Make sure Mickey gives you a big kiss before you all leave.

    Cheers

    Sharon
